Louboutin 'Love' Shoe

It seems everyone loves Louboutin shoes with their striking red soles. His shoes have been described as 'sex on legs'!

I read an article about Christian in the latest edition of Harper's Bazaar. In it he describes how he came to have his dream job. He also explains how he thinks it is more provocative to show a low toe cleavage than it is wearing sandals that reveal all!

Bespoke Rangoli hair accessory

One of the things that I love about my job is that I get to see pictures of gorgeous dresses every day! I can't claim to know all of the designers and in a way that's what makes it so special. Each consultation begins with discussing the dress - looking at a picture or fabric sample or discussing the shape or any embellishments if the gown is being made to order.

This is the time when I get a feeling for both the style of the wedding and more importantly the client's personal style.

A recent client came in to discuss a hair accessory to go with the Pronovias dress, Habana. She explained that she was looking for a small hair accessory that would 'dress' her hair once her veil was removed. The comb above was the design that we came up with and I think that it complements the rhinestone diamond shape on the waistband. This piece will be worn at the back of the hair above the veil.

Lovely lily of the valley

I love this beautiful posie of Lily of the valley that was taken by Belathee Photography from New York. It's so delicate and pretty and reminds me of my Mum's wedding bouquet from the late 1960's!


And it's true, if you wait long enough, things come full circle in terms of popularity and fashion!

Thanks to Susan for sharing her wedding photo. I love when clients send me in pics after their wedding. It's so nice for me to see how everything turns out on the day!

Susan's first wedding anniversary is coming up shortly and I altered her Rangoli hairwire into a necklace so she can wear it again on special occasions.

Hot air balloon ride

My husband and I took a hot air balloon ride in Kapadokya in Turkey three years ago. It was an amazing experience - so breathtakingly beautiful and serene. The early start before sunrise adds to the magical quality of the flight. The silence is only broken by the intermittent roar of the propane burner. It's hard to describe the wonderful feeling of floating high above the landscape, climbing and falling as the sun slowly rises.

We've discovered an Irish company that offer balloon rides in Ireland. We are going to celebrate our up-coming anniversary in another early morning flight!

It's Friday so I guess it's ok to be thinking about a little cocktail ~

I recently had a gorgeous Lychee Martini in Yamamori and thought I'd share it with you! Just thinking about the flavour sensation makes me want to return for another one :-)

It reminded me of another unusual cocktail that I read about on the wonderful website design sponge. This delightful summer drink, Cardamon Rose Cocktail, combines gin with rose syrup, grapefruit juice and cardamons. I have yet to try this concoction but it sounds so refreshing and just the thing to start off a girly night out...

Love your bridesmaids...

Here is a recent commission for two bridesmaids that will be wearing olive green dresses. The hair will be worn in a low wrapped bun to the side of the head. I think that these delicate sculptural pins will really complement their hairstyles and dresses.
